Course description

This qualification is designed to meet the needs of stonemasons working with sandstone, limestone, marble and other types of stone and stone products to produce stone monuments, buildings (heritage and new) and building components, such as walls, floors, arches, chimneys, stairs, windows, decorative mouldings, fireplaces and benchtops.

Occupational titles may include:

Assessment Methods:

All assessments of units of competency will be conducted according to the assessment guidelines and competency standards of the official Training Package for this qualification. Assessment methods include Practical demonstrations, Projects, Knowledge Tests etc.

Training and Assessment (1350 hours)
The volume of learning for the qualification is 1350 hours. This comprises of:
Learning Hours- 596 hours (288 hours of theory training and 308 hours of practical training)
Assessment Hours- 484 hours (124 hours of theory assessment and 360 hours of practical assessment)
Independent Study, work on assignment & research- 270 hours.

COMPUTER LITERACY REQUIREMENTS  

All students enrolling in this course at GHMC must have basic computer skills. Students are required to fill out the questions related to computer and internet skills in the Pre-Training Review form provided along with the application form. Students who do not possess basic computing skills will be provided with basic computer-using support.

CREDIT TRANSFER  

Students who have completed corresponding units of competency and/or units contained within the packaging rules can apply for Credit Transfer. If you wish to apply for Credit Transfer, please notify Global Healthcare Management College at the time of enrolment.
